Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VRC-GM (“the Service”), provided by Acid Development (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Service Description
VRC-GM is a third-party service that provides analytical dashboards, moderation tools, and performance statistics for VRChat groups. The Service is not affiliated with or endorsed by VRChat Inc. and relies on the VRChat API, which may be subject to limitations, changes, or downtime. While we aim for high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
3. Subscription and Payment Terms
The Service requires a subscription fee of $20 USD per month, processed securely via Ko-fi and Stripe.
- Each subscription applies to one VRChat group and one primary user. A request to authorize one additional user per group may be made via Discord (@acid.ra1n) or by emailing [email protected].
- Subscriptions are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time; service will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
- All prices and billing terms are subject to change with reasonable prior notice.
4. User Eligibility and Responsibilities
- You must be 18 years or older and either the owner or co-owner of the associated VRChat group.
- You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.
- Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: reverse engineering, unauthorized data scraping, deploying malicious bots, or attempting to tamper with Service functionality.
5. Data Use and Privacy
5.1 Audit Log Access and Purpose
The Service requires access to your VRChat group's audit logs in order to provide core features of the VRC-GM dashboard and the VRC-D moderation tool. Audit logs allow the Service to organize and display data related to moderation events (e.g., bans, kicks, role changes) for improved oversight and transparency within your group.
5.2 Data Collection and Legal Basis
We collect only the minimum necessary data to fulfill contractual obligations and provide agreed-upon features. Data processing is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
5.3 Access and Confidentiality
Access to your audit logs and any associated group data is restricted to:
- Authorized developers under Acid Development
- Sub-users explicitly designated by the group owner
We will never sell, rent, or disclose your data to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes. All data is handled confidentially and used exclusively to provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
5.4 Data Retention and Deletion
- Group data is retained for 7 days after subscription cancellation.
- You may request a data export at any time prior to deletion by contacting support.
- After the retention period, your group data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.
5.5 User Rights (GDPR/CCPA Compliance)
If you are located in the EU/EEA or California, you have the right to:
- Request access to or deletion of your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Object to or restrict processing in certain cases
Requests can be submitted by contacting us via the information in Section 11.
6. Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to data loss, system failure, or business interruption.
- We are not responsible for third-party outages or issues, including VRChat API, Ko-fi, Stripe, or hosting providers such as Hostinger LLC.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. A “Last Updated” date will be clearly provided at the top of this page.
8. Dispute Resolution
All disputes arising out of or related to the use of this Service will be resolved through binding arbitration under the laws of Nevada, United States. By using the Service, you waive your right to pursue disputes in court or to participate in class-action lawsuits.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
10. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or deny access to the Service to any user or group at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct deemed harmful, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.
